Introducing the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Outlook Client
Let's begin where you start every morning, coffee in hand: your Inbox. You read some emails, and click to track a few of them in CRM.
In the new CRM Outlook Client you can see contextual CRM relationship information specific to each tracked email.
From the Outlook Reading Pane, you can see which CRM records are linked to this record including contacts, leads, opportunities and other record types.
Click individual record links to open these items in a new window, or check phone numbers, addresses and other stored contact detail in the Outlook preview pane.

With Dynamics CRM working inside Outlook follow links to CRM records from each email recipient.

Another time saving feature is native Outlook conditional formatting that draws your attention to the CRM data that matter most to you.
For example, let say you want to highlight your most profitable accounts in your CRM account list view. By applying simple rules that use data already held in CRM you can create a view in seconds that highlights the customers that have spent over £x in red as default.
With this level of personalisation it's easy to adapt CRM displays to suit individual preferences and gain user acceptance by making working life easier!
Q4:2011 Update: The Outlook reading pane has been expanded to include more information about CRM records that are linked to emails including: sub-grid detail, notes, clickable links (e.g. phone, 2nd email address linked record) and Microsoft Lync presence indicator where Lync is used for instant messaging.

When you emails from a new contact simply click to add them to the CRM database.
