ACT! 2012 includes a new Scratchpad application that runs separate from the main ACT! program enabling users to take impromptu notes and manage processes that wouldn't immediately be stored in ACT!

As a virtual notepad for ACT!, the Scratchpad is used to capture impromptu notes, phone numbers, email address and personal reminders - even if the main ACT! application isn't running.

You can set priorities and check-off items once completed and send items to ACT! as activities, notes or history entries by assigning them to contacts avoiding the duplication of effort.

Google Apps users can now integrate ACT! with Gmail, Google Contacts and Google Calendar for one Google account per ACT! database:

• Gmail: Send & receive emails from Gmail and ACT! save a history in the contact history for a complete view of your communications.
• Google Contacts: Create new contacts in either Google or ACT! and synchronise your database or just a selection of your ACT! contacts with Google to find contact detail in either interface.
